Human Behavior
affects the organization
1. What forces business organizations to
change?
CHANGE is the reason why business organization is force to change. There
is nothing permanent in this world rather than CHANGE. Time run to fast and
people evolved to adopt the fast change of time. Due to these changes it
inflation is unstoppable to the way of living. Business organization must adopt
these trends to create uniqueness, orderliness and existence. In marketing
targeting the target market and studying their group will be the basis of
creating a product, which means studying human behavior will give a better
strategy and management to the organization because this two will give life to
the business. Strategic planning will always change to meet the need of the present
and to set a more advance tactic for the future. “Personnel have to change themselves, they have to be able to evaluate
new ideas objectively and see their users- not as they have been- but as they
might be” I base my analysis on this quotation from the module that the
reporters was given.
2. Differentiate positive reinforcement from positive
punishment?
Positive reinforcement is adding something in order to increase a
response. Ex. Hitting a child’s hand to teach him not to repeat getting things
he does not own. This type of reinforcement is using of power to see the
immediate result. While positive punishment is adding something aversive to
decrease behavior. Ex. Is putting curfew to a teenager and giving her all the
house chores to punish her for going home late. This punishment will fruit a
positive outcome because you will repeat it every time she committed the same
mistake, she’ll learn to avoid it until it totally change. I base my example to
what our teacher discuss in our discussions way back.
3. What causes resistance and how do you
minimize this?
When reasons is to change unclear, when the propose users have not been
consulted about the change, when the change threatens to modify established
patterns of working relationships between people, when communication about the
change has not been sufficient, when the benefits and rewards for making the
change are not seen as adequate for the trouble involved, and when it threatens
jobs, power or status in an organization. To minimize resistance is to create a
good communication, to plan with the subordinates, to make sure that everybody
is benefited and it is for the betterment of the majority and the organization.
4.
Differentiate
morale from motivation.
Morale means the boosting factors that affect emotional behavior of a
person. Ex. A lady staff of RRJ department store was announce as the employee
of the month. Her morale is high due to her gain pleasure. Another Ex; A waiter
works for 5years in the same position. He committee poor performance and
absenteeism due to loose of interest to his job, He has a low morale. While
motivation means increasing of extreme wants to achieve physical gain like
increase in salary, bonus, and a certificate after graduating. These factors motivate a person to performer
well because he sets a goal. This analysis is base on the module and what I
understand to my teacher while he is discussing the topic in our class for
clarification.
5. Enumerate and discuss 3 factors that affect
morale?
Reward- due to rewards it gives pleasure and satisfaction to people who
received it. The outcome they will work better in their best capacity to
receive again an award. They will be
better for the reason of self fulfillment.
Job Satisfaction- has a negative and positive effect on workers morale.
Negative in terms of they have a poor performance due to losing of commitment
in their jobs. Positive is they are aiming for a personal or emotional
fulfillment so they mix passion to gain job satisfaction.
Work
environment- Can be a positive or negative effect to morale, when your
organization performs corruption automatically you’ll adopt it and performed it
to. But if you are in the work place that does not tolerate does things
automatically you’ll hate does activity of corruption.
